ABOUT ME

IMG_2444.JPG

My work as a therapist is inspired by my own desire to live life a full, meaningful life. My personal journey in becoming more conscious has led me to feel more empowered and joyful. I have benefited from wonderful therapists, mentors, and friends along the way, and in turn, I enjoy walking alongside others on their own journeys toward a greater sense of wellbeing.

My interest in the human condition led me to undergraduate studies in sociology and education, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology. In private practice for over a decade, I balance my work with writing, music, nature, solitude, and time with loved ones. Self-care and personal growth contribute greatly to my professional work.

Areas of interest and study include spirituality and consciousness, the creative process, and mindfulness. For several years I have participated in a peer consultation group and Modern Analytic Psychotherapy training group. I am a member and past chair of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, licensed by the state of Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, MHSP).
